I decided to take the plastic wrap off the instax photo. Doing so revealed that the actual image size is much larger than the 62x62mm square of the framed print. In fact, a roughly 67x67mm image is captured, and the rough border can work really well with some images...

Trying out a new camera, Jan 2021
Given the relatively high ISO of instax film (800), and the slow shutter on the Instax SQ6, a lot of the photos were badly over-exposed. I'm planning to glue a filter ring to the front of the lens, so that a ND filter can be used when shooting outdoors in the sun.
All in all, I have to say that this is a fun little camera. It's nice to be shooting square format film again...
